Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to deliver our services:

• —Contact details you give us — your email address (and any name/company/message) when you request a site audit, download a resource, submit the contact or intake form, or buy a service.
• —The website URL you submit for an audit, and the resulting performance/SEO scores.
• —Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive only confirmation, amount, and the item purchased.
• —Basic technical data — standard server logs and, if analytics are enabled, anonymized usage events.

How we use your information

• —Deliver the audit report and any resources you request.
• —Respond to enquiries and provide the services you engage us for.
• —Process payments and send receipts/onboarding information.
• —Send relevant follow-ups and occasional tips — you can opt out at any time.
• —Maintain, secure, and improve the site and our services.

Email & marketing

If we email you marketing or follow-up messages, every message includes an unsubscribe option and our postal address. Reply “unsubscribe” at any time and we will stop. We comply with CAN-SPAM and Canada’s CASL.

Service providers we share data with

We use a small set of reputable processors to run the service. They only receive what they need:

• —Upstash (Redis/KV) — stores lead records (your email, submitted URL, audit scores).
• —Resend — sends transactional and follow-up email.
• —Stripe — processes payments.
• —Google PageSpeed Insights — analyzes the URL you submit.
• —Vercel — hosts the website; WordPress (our CMS backend) — serves content.

Data retention & deletion

We keep lead and audit records for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted, unless we need them for an active engagement or to meet a legal obligation. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing jason@jbe.works — we will action it promptly.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies/local storage (for example, to remember your light/dark theme preference). See our Cookies page for details and how to control them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., under PIPEDA, GDPR, or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at jason@jbe.works.

Children

The site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
